NetX SaaS Backup and Data Retention Policy

NetX performs secure daily backups of customer data to a remote location. The following site data is retained for 30 days, even if the data is deleted from the application:

  • Original asset files
  • Asset versions
  • Asset views
  • Database (SQL dump file)
  • Main configuration files

Data that is not backed up:

  • Proxy files (thumbnails, previews, and zooms).
  • Custom code or third-party integration configurations
  • Non-production site data (demos, UAT sites, etc)
  • Data that is created and deleted within the daily backup interval

Terms and Conditions

  • Large-volume batch imports and other operations may cause data synchronization between the site and backup storage to exceed 24 hours. During this synchronization period, data in the backup storage mirror may not be identical to the primary storage.
  • The standard service included with all SaaS subscriptions is intended for use by NetX sysadmins to provide application recovery during catastrophic events. These data are not directly accessible to customers.
  • Customers who require data restoration due to end-user fault will be billed for time and materials, including all Amazon Web Services data retrieval fees. 
  • Recovery time varies based on amount of data stored; large restorations could require weeks before completion.
  • During a recovery operation, non-critical fixes and enhancement requests are not supported. Customers will be solely responsible for issues arising from third-party software and customizations to NetX programs and services.
